- The Cincinnati Enquirer calls the term-limit extension debate "well-timed" and argues Ohio's term-limits law "has been a textbook case in unintended consequences." (Enquirer)
- The Enquirer references a 2006 study (pdf) conducted by Dr. Rick Farmer of the University of Akron and sponsored by the National Conference of State Legislatures, which found that term limits made lawmakers more partisan, campaigns more negative and the legislative process more difficult.
